About Pound Ridge Golf Club
Pound Ridge is the one Pete Dye course in New York, built with his son Perry and his longtime shaper Michael Langkau, and it opened in 2008. It's 7,165 yards and par 72 from the back tees, with a 148 slope. There are five sets of tees, and the club credits Alice Dye's hand in the well-thought-out forward options, so you don't have to play it at full length. Links Magazine put it second on its Best New Public Courses of 2008 list.
It sits on 172 acres of rocky Westchester ground, and the rocks are in play. GOLF.com's writer called out the outcroppings and the giant boulder in the middle of the 13th fairway. Expect contoured fairways, thick rough and hazards placed to make you think; this is not a course for protecting a handicap.
It's daily-fee all the way: no memberships and no residency rules. Kenneth Wang, Vera Wang's brother, built it for an estimated $40 million. Barstool Sports ran a qualifier here for its 2019 Barstool Classic.

There's no twilight rate: times after 3 p.m. are 9 holes only. The course is closed Tuesdays for maintenance.
