About The Woods at Cherry Creek Golf Course

The Woods is the tighter of the two Cherry Creek courses. The Links across the street is long and open farmland; the Woods, added in 2002, is rolling and tree-lined, with doglegs that bend through the trees and ponds alongside seven holes. The course bills it as a shot-maker's course, and the numbers back that up: it's only 6,550 yards from the back (Maple) tees, but it carries a 132 slope.

It's a par 71 (35 out, 36 in) with four sets of tees: Maple at 6,550, Oak at 6,229, Pine at 5,623 and Cherry at 5,059. There's a putting and short-game area, a full restaurant and bar, and the Tanger outlets and North Fork wineries are close by.

It's one of 3 courses in Riverhead on Yoink, and Indian Island Golf Course is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
