About Smithtown Landing Country Club

Smithtown Landing is the Town of Smithtown's golf club, on Landing Avenue with views over the Nissequogue River. There are two courses: the 18-hole regulation layout and a nine-hole par-3 called the Learning Links, which is where families and beginners go. From the blue tees the big course rates 69.3 with a 127 slope, the whites 68.1 and 125, the reds 69.7 and 117.

Practice is taken seriously here. There's a range, two big putting greens (6,000 and 3,500 square feet) with short-game areas around them, a practice bunker, a swing plane area and a video room. That's because this is Michael Hebron's teaching base. Hebron is a PGA Master Professional, on Golf Magazine's Top 50 Instructors list from 1991 on, and won the national PGA Horton Smith Trophy in 1990.

The club says it has new cart paths and course improvements, plus a putt-putt course down by the range. There's also a pool, a clubhouse and a catering hall.

Booking a tee time at Smithtown Landing Country Club

Book online through GolfNow or call the golf shop at (631) 979-6534, up to 7 days out, with a $4 per player reservation fee and a 24-hour cancellation policy. Non-residents are welcome Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, weekends and holidays they have to play with a Smithtown resident who has a Resident ID card. 2026 weekday rates for 18 are $39 walking and $61 riding for residents, $54 and $76 for non-residents. On weekends a non-resident playing with a resident pays the $47 guest rate walking. Resident, senior and junior rates need the town resident card, which is good for two years; seniors and juniors get their rates Tuesday to Thursday only. In season (May through October) the public days are Tuesday to Sunday, plus holiday Mondays. Riding carts go only to renters 21 and over, and coolers aren't allowed.
