About Poxabogue Golf Center
Poxabogue is the public golf stop between Bridgehampton and Sagaponack: a short nine and a big driving range, both open to anyone. The land started as a small potato farm, and there wasn't room for a full-size nine, so it was built as six par 3s and three par 4s. It's a quick round and a good place to sharpen your irons.
It nearly became houses. In the 1990s the family's estate sold it to investors, and a 45-house development was floated. In March 2004 the Towns of Southampton and East Hampton bought it together to save it, and in 2012 Southampton bought out East Hampton's half. It won Dan's Papers' Best of the Best for Best Golf Course on the South Fork in 2022 and 2023.
The Fairway restaurant is a popular breakfast spot with locals. In 2024 the town set aside $1.8 million to redo the clubhouse and parking lot, and the work was under way in early 2026. The pros teach with Trackman and run clinics and a junior program.

Southampton and East Hampton residents pay less but must show proof, such as a driver's license or tax bill with a town address. The posted rates (no year given) are $20 for 9 and $35 for 18 on resident weekdays, $30 and $45 on weekends, and $33 and $48 weekdays for non-residents ($45 and $60 on weekends). Everyone needs their own set of clubs, and juniors under 17 play with a paying adult.
