Eisenhower Park - Blue

Robert Trent Jones's 1951 design and the shortest of the park's three 18s: elevated greens, twin par 3s side by side, and it's open year-round.

About Eisenhower Park - Blue

The Blue is the gentlest of Eisenhower Park's three 18-hole courses. It's a par 72 of about 6,200 yards from the back tees on the county scorecard, rated 68.3 with a 117 slope, so it's the one to pick if the Red and White feel like too much golf for the day.

Robert Trent Jones designed it in 1951, a year after the White, and it shares the White's quirk: each par 3 has an identical twin built side by side. The greens are elevated here too. The county has put in a new irrigation system as part of ongoing work on the course.

Like the White, the Blue is open year-round, weather permitting in winter, from 5:30 a.m. with a 6 p.m. last tee on the county's schedule. The complex has a driving range, putting greens, a pro shop and cart and club rentals.

It's one of 3 courses in East Meadow on Yoink, and Eisenhower Park - White is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
