About Vineyard National Golf at Renault Winery

The course is the golf side of Renault Winery, a 1,400-acre property with a hotel and two restaurants, and the holes run through the vineyards. The course's own description says some of those rows still hold the founder's original vines. It's an 18-hole course that came along in 2004, after the winery had already added a restaurant in 1983 and a hotel in 2000.

The winery is the history here. Louis Nicolas Renault, a French immigrant from Mareuil-sur-Ay, first planted the vineyard in 1864, and it's now the oldest active winery in New Jersey. It opened to the public in 1870, was for years the biggest champagne producer in the country, and after World War II employed Atlantic City boss Enoch "Nucky" Johnson.

After the round there are fire pits, cabanas you can rent and live music, so plan on staying a while.
