About Boulder City Golf Course
Boulder City's municipal course is the old-school one of the town's two: a traditional par 72 by Billy Casper and David Rainville with tree-lined fairways, big receptive greens and water on seven holes. It sits among three mountain ranges next to Hoover Dam, and the slope is a gentle 117 for men and 123 for women, so it's a friendly round. The course says rounds usually take four and a half hours or less.
There's enough bite to keep it honest. The course points to a 559-yard par 5 and a risk-reward par-4 finishing hole, and the map survey counts 27 bunkers and eight tree-lined holes. Course character from OpenStreetMap contributors' survey data.
Value is its reputation. The course calls itself the most affordable in Southern Nevada, and Vegas Golfer Magazine readers voted it Best Bargain Course in Southern Nevada three years running. It also hosts the Boulder City Amateur, junior events and the NIAA boys and girls state championships. There's a driving range, chipping and putting greens, and a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse with a bar and grill.
It's one of 2 courses in Boulder City on Yoink, and Boulder Creek Golf Club is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
