About Pryor Creek Golf Club - Johnny Walker
Pryor Creek is a family club: Elmer Link dreamed it up and laid it out with Johnny Walker, a PGA life member, it was established in 1980, and Elmer's son Joe Link runs it today. With two 18s it's one of only two 36-hole facilities in Montana, and the Johnny Walker course is the one the rate card doesn't restrict to members and their guests.
This 18 is really two different nines. The original holes, played as 1 through 5 and 15 through 18, roll up and down from tee to landing area and into the greens, and trees line several of them, so finding the fairway matters. The nine added in 2007, holes 6 through 14, is wider, and you can let it go off the tee. Watch the slope on the greens; they're tough to read. Five par 3s bring the par to 71.
The whole property sits in the Pryor Creek valley, with views over rolling hills and nearby bluffs. The range has grass tees and mats, depending on the season.
