About Winding River Golf Course
Winding River sits in Southwestway Park on the southwest side of Indianapolis, near the airport, on ground overlooking the White River. It began as a nine-hole city course on farmland the parks department bought between Mann Road and the river, and it was later expanded to 18 holes with a driving range.
Indy Parks describes rolling terrain, wide fairways and minimal hazards, which makes it a relaxed round where you can swing freely off the tee. Protected Audubon nature areas run through the property and give it a country feel for a course inside the city limits.
It's one of 74 courses Yoink watches in the Indianapolis area, and Buffer Park Golf Course is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
What it's like to play Winding River Golf Course
