About River Run Golf Links

River Run is the City of Bradenton's own course, an 18-hole par 70 laid out along the west bank of the Braden River. Florida Golfer lists Ward Northrup as the architect, a 1987 opening and 6,393 yards from the back tees, so it's a par-70 length rather than a long one, and the city pitches it on strategic design and affordability.

It's the city's tournament venue, too. Every year River Run runs the City of Bradenton Championship Series, five amateur events: the City Amateur, the Senior Amateur, the Senior 2-Man, the Two Man Combo and the Two Man title event. There's no driving range, so plan your warm-up accordingly. Carts stay on the paths at the tees, greens and every par 3, and players are expected to share carts.

It's one of 11 courses in Bradenton on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Peridia Golf and Country Club, about 2 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
