About Rosedale Golf and Country Club

Rosedale is a semi-private country club in Lakewood Ranch with a Ted McAnlis course that winds through natural preserves under Spanish moss oaks and tall pines. It's a par 72 with six sets of tees, from 6,714 yards at the back down to 3,849 at the front, so there's a sensible set for everyone in the group.

The greens are the test. The 8th green runs 50 yards deep, so check the pin before you pull a club. The 16th has one of the fastest and most sloped greens on the course. The 9th finishes the front at a peninsula green that plays longer than the number, and the par-5 12th starts from island tees, driving out of a chute of trees.

Around the course it's a full club: tennis, a pool, a fitness center and a golf academy for members, with the course open to daily guests.

It's one of 11 courses in Bradenton on Yoink, and the closest alternative is The Preserve Golf Club At Tara, about 1 mile away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
