About Misty Creek Country Club

Ted McAnlis routed Misty Creek through 350 acres of preserve with lakes and hammock forest, and the wildlife is part of the round: deer, bobcats, alligators and more than 70 kinds of birds. It's a par 72 with seven sets of tees, from 4,595 yards up front to 6,895 from the back, so there's a sensible set for everyone in the group.

The club asks for a round of four hours or less, carts back on the paths around the tees and greens, and no metal spikes, and collared shirts are the norm. In 2026 the club was advertising a newly renovated course, though its site doesn't say what the work covered.

It's one of 9 courses in Sarasota on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Bent Tree Country Club, about 2 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
