About Crescent Oaks Golf Club

Crescent Oaks is a woods course. It's carved through acres of undisturbed pines at the top of Pinellas County, with cypress along the fairways and greens the club describes as firm and fast. GolfPass lists it at par 72 and 6,914 yards, with lakes and a winding creek in play, so it's more about placing the ball than bombing it.

The tee you pick changes everything here. The club says it's a fun, forgiving test from the whites and a real championship challenge from the back tees, because the angles and the yardage both shift. The GolfPass course notes single out the par-5 10th, with an elevated green and a ridge running across the middle, and the finishing par 4, a dogleg left with water down the whole left side.

It opened in 1991 as Crescent Oaks Country Club, designed by Steve Smyers with tour player Jim Colbert, according to GolfPass. There's a fully redone range with putting and pitching greens, and the Oak Tree Bar and Grille in the renovated clubhouse is open to the public.

It's one of 3 courses in Tarpon Springs on Yoink, and Crescent Oaks Country Club is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
