About Citrus Hills Oaks-Meadows-Skyview at Terra Vista - Meadows at Citrus Hills

The Meadows is the easier-going course at Citrus Hills, and the club pitches it that way: rolling fairways, gentle doglegs and large, undulating greens, a traditional layout for a relaxed round. Don't read the card and relax too much, though. At par 72 and 5,885 yards (68.3 rating, 117 slope) it's short, but the club says it plays harder than the yardage, and the developer calls the greens deceptive. Most of the work is on and around those greens.

It's also the one Citrus Hills course you can walk, though only after 3 p.m. It shares the East Hartford clubhouse with the Oaks, which has a pro shop, member-only restaurants and a 4,500-square-foot tiki bar.

Citrus Hills dates to the early 1980s, when Sam Tamposi and Gerald Nash started the community and brought in Ted Williams to promote it. The Meadows, the Oaks and Skyview at Terra Vista make up the club's three 18s.

It's one of 3 courses in Hernando on Yoink, and Citrus Hills Oaks-Meadows-Skyview at Terra Vista - Skyview at Terra Vista is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
