Seattle Golf Courses & Tee Times
Seattle's public golf starts on Beacon Hill. Jefferson Park opened in May 1915 as the city's first municipal course and the state's first, and in 2024 the city renamed it the Bill Wright Golf Complex. Wright learned the game on Seattle's munis and in 1959 won the U.S. Amateur Public Links, the first Black golfer to win a USGA event. Fred Couples grew up playing Jefferson too, sometimes sneaking on to skip the fee. Down the Sound, Pierce County's Chambers Bay hosted the 2015 U.S. Open, the first ever played in the Pacific Northwest.
Good weekend tee times in Seattle go fast, and the ones that come back later (cancellations, groups that shrink) aren't announced. Yoink watches the tee sheets at 71 public courses here, from Tacoma, Olympia, Port Townsend, Port Orchard and Auburn, and tells you the moment a time you want opens up.
The longest layout here is Washington National Golf Club at 7,304 yards; there are 9 nine-hole courses; there are 2 executive or par-3 courses for a quicker round.
Who runs public golf in Seattle
Seattle Parks and Recreation owns four golf facilities: Jefferson (now Bill Wright), Jackson Park, West Seattle and Interbay. A private operator, Premier Golf Centers, has run them under city contract since 2003. Jackson Park opened in 1930 and West Seattle in 1940, an H. Chandler Egan design built with WPA help. Interbay is a par-28 nine by the Ballard Bridge with a covered range. Rates are posted as 2026 reference rates, $47.50 for an adult weekday round at Jackson or West Seattle, and dynamic pricing moves them with demand. There is no resident card here; the perk is the operator's free Frequent Players Program, which builds to a 20% discount across its 11 Puget Sound area courses and resets every May 1.

Booking tee times in Seattle: the local rules
Seattle's city courses book online through the course sites, and West Seattle notes there are no booking fees when you book direct. No published resident window turned up. Chambers Bay works differently: Pierce County and Washington rates can be booked up to three months out, with the sheet opening on the 1st of each month, and you need a photo ID to get the resident rate.

Why tee times in Seattle are hard to get
The season in Seattle runs roughly from spring to late fall. The first warm weekends in spring and the cool, dry weekends of fall are the hardest to book.
Most public courses open their tee sheet a set number of days ahead, often 7 to 14, and many municipal courses give residents or card holders an earlier window. The best weekend-morning times usually go the day they're released. Leagues and outings take blocks of the sheet before the public ever sees them.
When tee time cancellations happen
Booked-up doesn't mean gone. Plans change: groups cancel ahead of the course's cancellation deadline (often 24 to 48 hours out), players drop when the forecast turns, and a group that shrinks leaves an open spot. Those times quietly come back on the booking page, usually for minutes, not hours.

Every course in Seattle on one watchlist: all 71 of them
Yoink watches all 71 courses in Seattle for you. The open tee times sit in one place instead of a dozen booking pages, and your phone buzzes the moment one fits your day, time window and group, cancellations included.
Doing it by hand? Here's what works.
- Know the booking window. Find out how many days ahead each course releases times, and whether residents get an earlier window. Be ready the morning it opens.
- Look again 24 to 48 hours out. That's when most cancellation deadlines pass and spots come back.
- Be flexible on group size. Singles and twosomes fit into gaps a foursome can't.
- Try twilight and weekday afternoons. They're the last to fill and often cheaper.
- Keep a quicker course in your back pocket. Nine-hole and executive courses are easier to get on and play faster. Around here that includes Blue Boy West Golf Course, Camas Prairie Golf Course and Delphi Golf Club.

Tee times in Seattle: questions
How do I get notified when a tee time opens up in Seattle?
Set a watch in Yoink for the courses you want, the days you can play, a time window and the number of players. Yoink checks those tee sheets every few minutes and sends a notification as soon as a matching time appears, cancellations included. You book it directly with the course.
When do tee time cancellations usually show up?
Mostly in the 24 to 48 hours before the tee time, as golfers cancel ahead of the course's cancellation deadline, and whenever the weather forecast changes. They appear without notice and tend to be rebooked quickly.
How far in advance can you book a tee time in Seattle?
It depends on the course. Many public courses open bookings 7 to 14 days ahead, and town or county courses often give residents an earlier window. Each course's own booking page has its policy.
When is golf busiest in Seattle?
Demand is highest on spring and fall weekends. Weekend mornings are always the hardest tee times to get.
Which courses in Seattle are quickest to play?
Nine-hole and executive courses such as Blue Boy West Golf Course, Camas Prairie Golf Course and Delphi Golf Club take less time and are usually easier to book.
Does Yoink book the tee time for me?
No. Yoink tells you when a time opens; you book it with the course on its own booking page, at the course's price, with no extra fee.
