About Kaufman Golf Course

Kaufman is Kent County's public course, on Clyde Park Avenue in Wyoming, and it has been open since 1965. It's the home course of the Kent County Amateur, and the card backs that up: a par 72 of 6,796 yards from the blues (73.0 rating, 138 slope), with the whites at 6,328 and hybrid and green sets at 5,759 and 5,202. The fairways roll, and the boundary runs down the left side of ten holes, so a hook costs you.

The practice area is a good one. The range has 20 grass stations and five targets from 100 to 235 yards, there's a short-game area with a bunker, and the 8,000-square-foot putting green sits by the 1st and 10th tees. The snack bar does brats, burgers and grilled chicken and looks out over the 1st and 9th fairways. Tee times are spaced for a four-hour round, and it's soft spikes only.
