About Elbel Park Golf Course

Elbel is the big one among South Bend's city courses: par 72, up to 6,885 yards, on about 313 acres at Auten and Quince roads. The other city courses are Erskine Park and the nine-hole Studebaker, and Elbel is the longest of them.

The course is routed around Mud Lake, and the lake and its wetlands set the tone. Holes turn around the water and through the trees, with farmland and woods around the edges and water hazards in play. You get bent grass greens and bluegrass fairways. The city calls the 18th its signature hole, and the clubhouse looks out over it.
