About Oxbow Creek Golf Course
Oxbow Creek is one of Columbus's three city golf courses, with Bull Creek and Godwin Creek. It's the short one: nine holes and 3,005 yards of Bermuda grass off South Lumpkin Road in the Victory District. It opened in 1998.
It's an easy place to play quickly or learn. You can walk it or rent a cart and clubs, and if nine isn't enough, go around twice for 18. The driving range and practice areas are right there, so it works well for a range session with a few holes after. The city points out the views of the natural surroundings and the wildlife you might see along the way.
It's one of 19 courses Yoink watches in the Macon & Middle Georgia area, and the closest alternative is Fort Benning Golf Course, about 3 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
