About The River Club Golf Course
The River Club is a Ron Garl design in Lakewood Ranch, and it plays like one: big mounding, tree-lined fairways, and greens with real shape, including a long, narrow three-tiered one at 11. It's a par 72 with four par 3s and four par 5s. The course's own notes call 12 its hardest par 3, a straight shot to a very small target, and the 8th is the one where the wind decides the club, with water and sand around the green.
The Soletti family owns it and runs it as a strictly public course: no annual, seasonal or range memberships of any kind. Their pitch is Lakewood Ranch golf at municipal-course prices. The turf range is open to the public too. The Links at Greenfield Plantation, a few miles away, is its sister course.
In summer, pack water. From May through September the beverage cart only runs on weekends, and the routing doesn't come back past the clubhouse after the 9th.
It's one of 116 courses Yoink watches in the Tampa Bay area, and The River Club - The Links at Greenfield Plantat is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
