About Mainlands Golf Club
Mainlands is a par 67 of 4,540 yards from the tips, tucked inside the Mainlands neighborhood among pines and palms. The mix is what makes it: seven par 3s, nine par 4s and one par 5 on each nine. Longer hitters can drive the green on several of the par 4s, and a good drive on either par 5 brings eagle into play.
It's a Florida-style track with open fairways, so a loose tee ball usually still has a shot. Water is in play on about half the holes, but there are only two forced carries and both are under 100 yards. The course pitches itself to newer players and older golfers alike, and its advice is sound: pick the tee that fits your game.
It's one of the few family-owned and operated courses left around Tampa Bay, and the current site says it has been a local favorite for 54 years. There are leagues for all ages, a practice green and a pro shop.
It's one of 2 courses in Pinellas Park on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Mainlands Golf Course, about 1 mile away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
