About Hernando Oaks Golf and Country Club

Scott Pate designed Hernando Oaks with native grasses in the rough, and the club says the back nine in particular has a real feeling of seclusion. It's a par 72 of 6,905 yards from the tips, rated 73.3 with a 132 slope, on Bermuda grass, with water and sand in play to test your accuracy. The club reckons its last four holes are arguably the best finish in Tampa, so save something for them.

GolfPass dates the course to 2003. It's a full-service club with memberships, events and a restaurant, but tee times are open to the public, and the club posts separate rates for member guests, juniors and military and first responders.

It's one of 3 courses in Brooksville on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Silverthorn Country Club, about 3 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
