About Sherman Hills Golf Club
Sherman Hills doesn't play like flat Florida. Ted McAnlis designed it in 1993, and the course's GolfNow listing puts it in one of the highest areas of the state, with rolling terrain and undulating fairways and greens. The two nines feel different: the front is open and links-like, with elevated tees and greens, and the back runs between big oaks and asks for straighter driving.
The clubhouse has a snack bar and a covered patio that looks over the 10th hole, a good spot to sit after the round. There's league play and outings as well as open play.
It's one of 3 courses in Brooksville on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Brooksville Country Club, about 8 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
