Green Spring Golf Course

A city-run course that climbs through plateaus and valleys, with Pine Valley Mountain views on the 5th and a bridge to an uphill green on the 6th.

About Green Spring Golf Course

Green Spring is Washington City's municipal course, just off I-15. It's an 18-hole par 72 that the county tourism office lists at 6,859 yards, laid over plateaus and valleys with enough elevation change that hardly two holes play alike. Expect a cart: every rate the city posts includes one.

The early holes are the ones people talk about. From the 5th you're looking at the Pine Valley Mountains with red rock spires and canyon gorges in front of them. The par-4 6th comes next, and locals call it The Devil's Gulch: it wants a long, straight drive, and you cross a bridge to reach an uphill green. On the back, the par-3 15th starts over water, with shade trees around it and waterfowl on the pond.

It's one of 9 courses Yoink watches in the St. George & Southern Utah area, and the closest alternative is SunRiver Golf Club, about 5 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.

Booking a tee time at Green Spring Golf Course

Book online up to 14 days ahead through the city's MemberSports page. Online times are prepaid, and have been since December 2022. If you want to pay at the course, or you're a single, call the pro shop at 435-673-7888; singles can only book online by joining a group that has a spot open. Cancel by phone within 24 hours of your time for a full refund. When the page was read in September 2026, online booking was down and the city was asking golfers to call. Rates change with the season and all include a cart: $50 for 18 every day June through August, and $80 Sunday to Thursday and $90 Friday and Saturday from February through April, the busiest months. No spectators or extra riders, two carts per group, and everyone needs their own clubs. The fall overseed means cart-path-only play from late September to mid-October.
