Meadowbrook Golf Course

A 1924 John Bredemus course that was rerouted almost hole by hole and reopened in October 2025. The most rolling ground of Fort Worth's city courses.

About Meadowbrook Golf Course

Meadowbrook turned 100 in 2024. John Bredemus, often called the father of Texas golf, designed it in 1924, and of Fort Worth's three city courses it's the one with the most roll and elevation change. It sits in the east-central part of the city.

Then the city rebuilt it. Work started in November 2023, with Colligan and Kemp, the team behind the 2017 Rockwood renovation, and it reopened on Friday, October 3, 2025. Fifteen of the 18 holes changed, almost every hole was rerouted, and the irrigation, turf and cart paths are all new. The new 1st is a par 5 that runs up the old 8th and 9th corridor in the opposite direction, so if you knew the old Meadowbrook, forget it. The project, which drew $7 million from the city's 2022 bond program, also moved the putting green and added a short-game area behind the clubhouse. The Duckbill Grill is on site.

It's one of 8 courses in Fort Worth on Yoink, and Pecan Valley Golf Course is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
