About Jeffersonville Golf Club
Jeffersonville is West Norriton Township's course, a par-70 Donald Ross design that opened in 1931. Before it was golf, the land was a horse track: steeplechase races ran on a half-mile oval where the 11th and 16th holes are now. Anson B. Evans bought the property in 1919, closed the track in the late 1920s and hired Ross. The Evans family ran it until the township bought it in 1972.
It's a tight footprint, and Ross squeezed a lot into it. GOLF.com calls it a second-shot course with more than a few blind approaches and pushed-up, sloping greens, and says the criss-cross routing makes it an easy walk. The map survey counts about 104 bunkers, trees along 15 holes, nine doglegs, water near four holes and only about 54 feet between the high and low points. Ron Prichard restored it in 2000, putting back more than 40 of Ross's original bunkers, rebuilding the tees and rerouting for a stronger finish. In May 2026 it became the first public course to host a Golf Association of Philadelphia major, the 43rd Middle-Amateur, which drew a record 457 entries. It has also hosted USGA Amateur Public Links qualifying twice, plus events from The Fried Egg, No Laying Up and The Golfer's Journal. The Stables has six Trackman simulators, and there's a full restaurant and bar.
