About The Club at Diamondhead – Cardinal Course

The Cardinal is one of two 18-hole courses at The Club at Diamondhead, the golf club of the Diamondhead community between New Orleans and Gulfport and Biloxi. John LaFoy designed it as a par 72 worked into the existing terrain, and it plays to about 6,700 yards from the championship tees. The club says there are five sets of tees.

Both courses went through a five-year renovation that wrapped up in 2016. The routing stayed the same, with features added and improvements made along the way. The Diamondhead Property Owners Association, a nonprofit set up in 1970, runs the club and its courses.

It's semi-private. Association members get preferred golf, but public tee times are sold and the clubhouse, with Latitude 30 Patio and Grill and The Oak Room, is open to everyone. The club also runs what it calls the only indoor-outdoor golf academy on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

It's one of 2 courses in Diamondhead on Yoink, and The Club at Diamondhead – Pine Course is practically next door — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
