The Bridges is the golf course at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast, and the only Arnold Palmer Signature course in Mississippi, laid out on wetland ground beside the Bay of St. Louis. The name is literal: 21 wooden bridges, close to a mile of them, carry you over 17 lakes and 14 acres of marsh from hole to hole. The land around it is live oaks with moss, pines, magnolias and open saltwater marsh.

The 3rd, the first par 3, is about 190 yards to a green out on a peninsula. The last four holes run along the marshes of the bay, and the 17th is a short par 4, 285 yards from the tips, with water all around the green if you go for it.

Audubon International certified it as a Silver Signature site, the first resort course in the world to earn that status. It has come through a lot: when Hurricane Katrina wrecked the casino in 2005, the course was back open four months after the storm.
