Kentucky
Louisville & Lexington Golf Courses & Tee Times
Both cities run their own golf. Louisville Parks and Recreation has ten public courses, and Lexington Parks and Recreation has five. The history runs deep. Cherokee in Louisville dates to 1895, Picadome opened in 1927 as central Kentucky's first public course, and Gary Player won his first American tournament at Louisville's Seneca, the 1958 Derby City Open. The big events went private: Valhalla, a Jack Nicklaus design that opened in 1986, has held four PGA Championships (1996, 2000, 2014, 2024) and the 2008 Ryder Cup.
Good weekend tee times in Louisville & Lexington go fast, and the ones that come back later (cancellations, groups that shrink) aren't announced. Yoink watches the tee sheets at 39 public courses here, from Lexington, Richmond, Nicholasville, Bardstown and Beattyville, and tells you the moment a time you want opens up.
The longest layout here is Heritage Hill Golf Club at 7,112 yards.

Why tee times in Louisville & Lexington are hard to get
Golf in Louisville & Lexington follows the seasons: spring openers and fall weekends are the busiest stretches, and summer mornings fill before afternoons.
Each course releases its tee times on its own schedule, commonly a week or two out, with residents of town and county courses often booking first. Leagues, outings and members claim chunks of the sheet in advance, and whatever prime weekend times are left tend to go on release day.
When tee time cancellations happen
A full tee sheet rarely stays full. Many courses let you cancel without a fee up to 24 or 48 hours before your time, so spots tend to reappear in the last couple of days. A bad forecast shakes more loose, and a foursome that drops to three opens a single. None of it is announced. The time just shows up again on the booking page, and whoever looks first gets it.

Yoink
Every course in Louisville & Lexington on one watchlist: all 39 of them
Pick the courses you'd play and Yoink keeps an eye on all 39 courses in Louisville & Lexington. You see what's open in one place, and you hear about it the moment a time that fits your day, window and group turns up, cancellations included.
Doing it by hand? Here's what works.
- Know the booking window. Find out how many days ahead each course releases times, and whether residents get an earlier window. Be ready the morning it opens.
- Look again 24 to 48 hours out. That's when most cancellation deadlines pass and spots come back.
- Be flexible on group size. Singles and twosomes fit into gaps a foursome can't.
- Try twilight and weekday afternoons. They're the last to fill and often cheaper.
- Widen the map. If your first choice is full, check the next town over. Lexington has 4 courses on Yoink and Richmond has 2.
