About Sugar Maple Golf Club
Sugar Maple is a semi-private club outside Geneseo that takes public tee times. It's a par 72 that stretches to 6,569 yards from the gold tees, laid over rolling hills with five ponds and 32 bunkers, and rough placed to catch the loose shot. The greens and tees are bentgrass and the fairways are irrigated Kentucky bluegrass.
The club says it's the area's only 18-hole course and the only one with a driving range, which has a grass tee and two practice putting greens. There's lunch and dinner in the clubhouse and a full bar. The dress code is relaxed: collared shirts are expected, but denim is fine.
It's one of 11 courses Yoink watches in the Quad Cities area, and the closest alternative is TPC Deere Run, about 14 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
