About Southport Springs Golf Club
Southport Springs is the course inside a 55+ gated community, and the public is welcome. The course's own numbers are par 70 at about 5,081 yards from the back tees, so it's a round you can walk off without feeling beaten up, but the fairways are narrow, the bunkers are placed to catch loose drives and the TifEagle greens are well guarded. Accuracy matters more than length here.
After the round the Parkway Tavern is open to everyone, not only residents.
It's one of 3 courses in Zephyrhills on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Links of Lake Bernadette, about 2 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
