About Sandridge Golf Club - Lakes Course

The Lakes is the younger of the two Ron Garl courses at Sandridge, Indian River County's 36-hole public facility in Vero Beach. It opened in December 1992, five years after the Dunes, and where the Dunes rides an old ridge once used for mining, the Lakes is a water course, with water playing a big role throughout. The hole everyone talks about is the 14th, a par 4 to an island green that the club calls one of the toughest holes in South Florida.

There are six sets of tees, Gold down to Orange, and the county times the Lakes at about 4 hours and 3 minutes for a foursome, a little quicker than the Dunes. Carts carry GPS and pace is tracked, so keep up. The facility turns 40 in April 2027.

It's one of 18 courses Yoink watches in the Space Coast area, and the closest alternative is Sandridge Golf Club - Dunes Course, about 2 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
