About Sun N Lake Golf Club: Deer Run
Deer Run is the older of the two courses at Sun 'N Lake Golf Club, just outside Sebring: a par 72 that Don Dyer designed and that opened in 1976. It's the long one. The club itself says Deer Run is the tougher test and points average players to the more forgiving Turtle Run next door. Greens are TifEagle Bermuda, and fairways and rough are 419 Bermuda.
The hole everybody mentions is the last one. The 18th plays to an island green, so bring a ball you don't mind losing. Carts are included in the green fee, but they have no GPS, so a rangefinder or phone app helps.
Deer Run is where the club puts most of its bigger events. The Citrus Golf Trail Ladies Invitational, which started in 1956 as the Harder Hall Ladies Invitational, has moved here from Harder Hall, and its 72nd playing is set for December 28-31, 2026.
