Arkansas Golf Courses & Tee Times

Arkansas has had a state golf association since September 25, 1915, when delegates from seven country clubs, from Fort Smith and Helena to Texarkana, formed the ASGA. It now counts over 11,000 individual members and 126 member clubs and runs the Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame, started in 1994. The state's top tournament golf is at private clubs: the LPGA Tour stops at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers each year, and Blessings in Fayetteville hosted the 2019 NCAA championships.

Getting a tee time in Arkansas

Spring and fall are peak season in Arkansas. In summer the heat pushes everyone toward early morning, so the first few hours of the day fill before anything else.

Each course releases its tee times on its own schedule, commonly a week or two out, with residents of town and county courses often booking first. Leagues, outings and members claim chunks of the sheet in advance, and whatever prime weekend times are left tend to go on release day.

A full tee sheet rarely stays full. Many courses let you cancel without a fee up to 24 or 48 hours before your time, so spots tend to reappear in the last couple of days. A bad forecast shakes more loose, and a foursome that drops to three opens a single. None of it is announced. The time just shows up again on the booking page, and whoever looks first gets it.
