Northwest Arkansas golf runs from Bella Vista's property-owner courses down to Fort Smith. The best-known event is the LPGA Tour's Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, played at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers every year since 2007. Stacy Lewis, then a University of Arkansas senior, was declared the unofficial winner of the rain-shortened first one. Fayetteville's Blessings Golf Club, a private Robert Trent Jones Jr. course, hosted the 2019 NCAA men's and women's championships.

Who runs public golf in Northwest Arkansas
Sebastian County runs Ben Geren in south Fort Smith, 27 holes with a full practice area. Bella Vista's courses belong to the Property Owners Association, which kept the town's amenities when Bella Vista became a city in 2007. Fayetteville's Lindsey Management built short courses beside its apartment complexes, including The Links at Fayetteville and The Links at Rainbow Curve in Bentonville, both nine holes of about 3,000 yards that opened in 2009.

- Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club: Randy Heckenkemper 18 in Fayetteville, opened in 1997 on ground that was a Civil War hospital and later a horse farm.
