Memphis Golf Courses & Tee Times in Arkansas
Memphis golf runs from the city's own seven courses to a ring of daily-fee tracks across three states. The city side has had real investment lately: Bill Bergin rebuilt The Links at Audubon, near the University of Memphis, in 2023, and Pine Hill in South Memphis, a par 70, was redesigned in 2024. Overton Park's nine sits in the middle of Midtown's big park, with a Tudor brick clubhouse from 1926. Out of town, Mirimichi in Millington stretches to 7,479 yards, Tunica National is a Mark McCumber design 30 minutes south in Mississippi, and Kirkwood National sits 35 miles southeast near Holly Springs. The PGA Tour's FedEx St. Jude Championship is played at TPC Southwind.
Good weekend tee times in Memphis go fast, and the ones that come back later (cancellations, groups that shrink) aren't announced. Yoink watches the tee sheets at 4 public courses here, from Marion, West Memphis and Wynne, and tells you the moment a time you want opens up.
Who runs public golf in Memphis
The City of Memphis runs seven courses under the Memphis Public Links name: Audubon, Pine Hill, Fox Meadows, Galloway, Whitehaven, Riverside and the Overton Park 9. Rates split by weekday and weekend, juniors are 17 and under and seniors 62 and up. Audubon is the top-priced course at $35 on weekdays and $45 Friday through Sunday on the 2026 rate card, and it has a six-hole Little Course where juniors play free. Galloway's Saturday special lets a parent or grandparent play half price after noon with a junior who plays free. Across the state line, Mallard Pointe at Sardis is a Bob Cupp course inside John W. Kyle State Park.

Booking tee times in Memphis: the local rules
Audubon is the one city course you can book a month out: tee times open 30 days ahead online or in the Memphis Public Links app, and anything booked 2 to 30 days out is prepaid and non-refundable unless weather closes the course. Every other city course books 7 days ahead, online, in the app or by phone. From March through November, weekend and holiday mornings take 18-hole bookings only, and one golfer can hold at most four tee times. Kirkwood National gives its members a longer booking window than the public.

Why tee times in Memphis are hard to get
Spring and fall are peak season in Memphis. In summer the heat pushes everyone toward early morning, so the first few hours of the day fill before anything else.
Most public courses open their tee sheet a set number of days ahead, often 7 to 14, and many municipal courses give residents or card holders an earlier window. The best weekend-morning times usually go the day they're released. Leagues and outings take blocks of the sheet before the public ever sees them.
When tee time cancellations happen
A full tee sheet rarely stays full. Many courses let you cancel without a fee up to 24 or 48 hours before your time, so spots tend to reappear in the last couple of days. A bad forecast shakes more loose, and a foursome that drops to three opens a single. None of it is announced. The time just shows up again on the booking page, and whoever looks first gets it.

Doing it by hand? Here's what works.
- Know the booking window. Find out how many days ahead each course releases times, and whether residents get an earlier window. Be ready the morning it opens.
- Look again 24 to 48 hours out. That's when most cancellation deadlines pass and spots come back.
- Be flexible on group size. Singles and twosomes fit into gaps a foursome can't.
- Try twilight and weekday afternoons. They're the last to fill and often cheaper.
- Widen the map. If your first choice is full, check the next town over. Marion has 2 courses on Yoink and West Memphis has 1.
