About Basin Harbor Golf Club
Basin Harbor is the golf course at the old family resort on Lake Champlain, and golf has been played here for more than a century. A.P. Beach, the second generation of the family running the place, laid out a few holes in 1916. Scottish pro Alex 'Nipper' Campbell turned it into a nine in 1927, and it became a full 18 in 1955, roughly the course you play now. In 1980 the resort hired Geoffrey Cornish to renovate and modernize it.
The fairways roll gently, the bunkers are placed to make you think, and the resort describes the greens as firm and fast, so plan on landing short and letting it run. The lake is the backdrop the whole way.
For 2026 the resort brought in Milne Golf, the family that owns and runs Neshobe and Rocky Ridge, to run the course, and members get reciprocal play at those two clubs.
