About The Courses at Hogan Park
Hogan Park is Midland's city golf: two courses, both open year-round. Roadrunner is the links-style one, close to 7,000 yards from the back tees, with Bermuda tees and fairways and bentgrass greens. Quail is the older, more traditional course, built in 1959 and around 6,600 yards, with Bermuda greens. Each has four sets of tees, and the 2026 Midland Men's City Championship was played on Roadrunner.
This is a place in the middle of a rebuild. Roadrunner was updated in 2014, and the Quail cart paths and the driving range in 2018. In 2026 Quail is being renovated with Mid-America Golf and Landscape: new irrigation, grading for drainage, new greens turf, tee and bunker changes, and a reverse-osmosis system to water the greens on both courses. In August the city said Quail could reopen as early as October, and that Roadrunner will close for the same work not long after. Check which course is open before you go.
It's run as an enterprise fund, so green fees pay for the place rather than the city's general fund. There's a pro shop, a restaurant and a driving range, which is closed on Tuesdays.
It's one of 13 courses Yoink watches in the Lubbock & West Texas area, and the closest alternative is Ratliff Ranch Golf Links, about 21 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
