About Ratliff Ranch Golf Links
Ratliff Ranch is the City of Odessa's links-style course, 125 acres of rolling hills and elevation changes. The native areas are off limits to carts and play as penalty areas, so the lines off the tee are real. The greens are bentgrass, which is why the course won't open if it's 32 degrees or colder in the morning; call ahead on winter days.
It's a par 72 with four sets of tees: 6,957 yards from the Blacks (73.8 rating, 124 slope), 6,461 from the Blues, 5,835 from the Whites and 4,914 from the Reds. Charlie's Cattle Co. handles food and drink at the turn and serves dinner if you want to stay for the sunset, and there's a range, putting green and chipping areas.
It's one of 13 courses Yoink watches in the Lubbock & West Texas area, and the closest alternative is The Courses at Hogan Park, about 21 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
