About The River Course @ Louisville Landing Recrea
This is the old Massena Country Club, laid out by Canadian pro Albert Murray and opened in 1958 on the St. Lawrence River. It's a par 71 of two different halves. The longer front nine winds through the woods with an unusual mix of three par 3s, three par 4s and three par 5s. The back nine opens up to river views from almost every hole, and the river comes into play on 17 and 18 to close it out.
In February 2021 the club's assets were signed over to the Town of Louisville, which runs it as a public course and said no taxpayer money would be used. It reopened as the River Course at Louisville Landing Recreation with a soft opening on April 9, 2021. No membership is needed, though season passes are sold for individuals, families, seniors and juniors, and there's a separate pass form for Canadian players. After the round, The Reserve at Louisville Landing restaurant is open daily in season, and the clubhouse dining room, deck and patio have the views.
