About White Oaks Country Club
White Oaks is named for what you'll be hitting around. Tall oaks line and separate every hole on 120 acres, the ground slopes naturally, and position matters more than distance. The holes people talk about come late in each nine and at the 7th, a very long par 5. At the 9th, a par 4, the second shot has to carry water to a green shared with another hole. The 17th is a 225-yard par 3 that Visit South Jersey says was voted the toughest par 3 in South Jersey.
The Dobson brothers broke ground in 1998 on a Steve Filipone design and opened it in 1999, with Billy Casper Management consulting until 2001. In 2006 the state took over the land through its Green Acres preservation program, with the brothers still running the course. Today it and Centerton are EGM's two courses, and since 2021 their golfers have played a Ryder Cup-style match called the Battle for Route 40.
The clubhouse is more than 10,000 square feet, with the Oak Room bar and grille. It has a liquor license, so no BYOB and no coolers or backpacks on the course.
