About Knob Hill Golf Club

Knob Hill is a semi-private club in Manalapan: members get the run of it, and the public can book too. PGA Tour veteran Mark McCumber designed it, and the club says it was his first course in the Northeast.

The Asbury Park Press review the club quotes on its site gives you the picture: 145 heavily wooded acres along Route 33, lakes both man-made and natural turning up all over the course, and wide, wavy bunkers beside and in front of the greens. Across the road is Gaitway Farm. The club has also been promoting "new" 16th and 17th holes, now open.

After the round, the Sycamore Grille in the clubhouse is open to everyone, golfer or not.

It's one of 75 courses Yoink watches in the Northern & Central New Jersey area, and the closest alternative is Pine Brook Golf Course, about 1 mile away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
