About Oasis Golf Club - Palmer
The Palmer is the original course at Oasis, the one people called the Oasis Golf Course before the club grew to 36 holes. Arnold Palmer designed it and it opened in 1995. It's a par 71, 6,468 yards with a 134 slope from the back, and it runs through red-rock canyons in the Virgin River Valley with rugged canyon fairways and heavily contoured greens. Palmer was proud of this one. The club says he counted it among his favorite designs, and in his monthly magazine he picked the 5th, 6th and 8th as three of the best 18 holes he ever built. Golf Channel's Big Break Mesquite filmed all but one of its episodes at Oasis.
