About Tiburon Golf Club - Gold Course

Tiburón is Greg Norman's club; the name is Spanish for shark, after his Great White Shark nickname. The Gold opened in 1998, three years before the Black, and plays to par 72 from five sets of tees, up to 7,382 yards. What sets it apart is how it's framed: stacked sod-wall bunkers, coquina shell waste areas, and no conventional rough, so a miss runs out into sand or shell instead of sitting down in grass.

The Gold is a tour course. The LPGA Tour's season-ending CME Group Tour Championship has been played here every November since 2013, the Shark Shootout moved here in 2001, and in 2023 the Grant Thornton Invitational, a mixed PGA Tour and LPGA team event, replaced it. The club is an Audubon certified sanctuary, and in 2006 it was the first club to use custom Segway golf carts.

It's a semi-private club inside a gated golf community, with a 27,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style clubhouse and the 295-room Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón right next to the courses.

It's one of 11 courses in Naples on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Quail Run Golf Club, about 3 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
