About Aspen Golf Club
Aspen Golf Club is the City of Aspen's course, run by its Parks and Recreation Department on Highway 82 at the edge of town. It has been there since 1961, and it's more than a golf course: the same ground is used for Nordic skiing, tennis and trails, and after golf ends on October 31 it stays open for walking.
The season is short. Carts stop once the irrigation is shut off (October 12 in 2026), and October is a walking month with cheaper green fees and fall color. Locals are the priority here: two-thirds of all tee times are held for pass holders, with the pass sale going to verified primary residents in February before the leftovers go on sale in March.
It's one of 23 courses Yoink watches in the Colorado Mountains area, and the closest alternative is Golf @ River Valley Ranch, about 21 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
Booking a tee time at Aspen Golf Club
Advance tee times are online only; same-day times can be booked in person or by phone at (970) 429-1949. One-third of the sheet is set aside for the public, and any unused pass-holder times open to everyone on the day, so it's worth checking the morning of. No one can hold more than three tee times in any five-day stretch, and you need to cancel or change your group size at least 7 hours ahead or pay a penalty (policies as of May 2026). The fees page read in September 2026, which prints no year, lists peak-season (June to September) rounds at $250 with a cart and range, $125 after 4:20 p.m., and $75 in October. Primary residents with a local driver's license can get up to 50% off.
