About Highland Hills Golf Course
Highland Hills is the City of Greeley's traditional course, opened in 1959 to a Frank Hummel design. It's a tree course: more than 1,300 of them on undulating ground, so you'll be shaping shots around trunks and dealing with uneven lies more than you'll be fighting length.
It has real tournament history for a muni. The men's and women's State Stroke Play, the high school state championships and the Big I Junior State Championships have all been played here in recent years, and the club runs its own Highland Hills Amateur, 36 holes of stroke play on June 13 and 14 in 2026. The practice setup is good too: a range with targets from 50 to 300 yards, two putting greens and a short-game area, plus a pro shop with club fitting and Bogey's Pub and Grill.
It's one of 3 courses in Greeley on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Greeley Country Club, about 1 mile away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
