About Lake Shastina Golf Resort
Lake Shastina sits outside Weed with Mount Shasta over every hole. Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. designed it, and it has been open since 1973. There's an 18-hole par 72 and a separate nine-hole Scottish links-style course (par 35), on about 270 acres with ponds and plenty of wildlife.
It's a resort with a membership, more than 220 members when it was listed for sale in late 2023. There's a clubhouse with a pro shop and restaurant, a pool, and 15 condos that have long been used for stay-and-play trips. It's minutes off Interstate 5, about 70 minutes from Redding and four hours north of Sacramento, and it's open all year.
