About Star Valley Ranch Association
Golf at Star Valley Ranch means Cedar Creek, the 18-hole course Harold Stewart designed and opened in 1979. It's a par 73 of a little over 6,400 yards, so it isn't long for a par 73, and the course leans on rolling ground, water, tree-lined fairways and elevation changes to make up the difference. The Salt River Range sits behind it and the Bridger-Teton National Forest is next door.
The community's second course, Aspen Hills, is a 9-hole par 36 right up against the national forest, with views back over the valley. Its 7th is nicknamed the Tunnel Hole, and the club says it's rated the hardest hole in Wyoming, which is reason enough to add nine.
It's the Star Valley Ranch HOA's club, with member rates for owners, but the public can play at posted public rates. Tournaments are held at Cedar Creek, all but one, the Mixed Moose. In the off-season, November through April, the Cedar Creek Center books golf simulator time by the hour.
