About Casper Municipal Golf Course
Casper Municipal is the City of Casper's public course, and it's really three nines: the Park, the Highlands and the Links. Mix and match them and you get a different 18 depending on the day, with Casper Mountain in view the whole way. Nine holes takes about two hours and 18 about four to four and a half.
It goes back to 1929, when the greens were sand. They were switched to bentgrass in 1953. Robert Muir Graves designed a rerouting of the holes in 1973, and in 1996 Keith Foster added the Links nine to the older Park and Highlands courses.
There's a driving range, a putting green and a short-game area, plus a full-service restaurant in the clubhouse and a beverage cart on the course. Bring your own water, though: the city says there's no drinking water out on the course, and there's a bottle filler in the clubhouse by the golf shop.
