About Algonkian Regional Park Golf Course
Algonkian is NOVA Parks' course in Algonkian Regional Park, right along the Potomac River in Sterling. Ed Ault designed it in 1962, when the land belonged to Pepco, the power company, which built the course as a getaway for its employees. NOVA Parks bought the property in 1975 and kept the course as the park's centerpiece.
