About Makefield Highlands Golf Club

Makefield Highlands is a links-style public course in Lower Makefield Township, laid out by Rick Jacobson and opened in 2004. There are five sets of tees, topping out at 7,058 yards from the back. The fairways roll rather than climb, and the round finishes below the clubhouse deck, which looks down on the 18th green.

The ground has a long past. The 168 acres were part of the original Penn grant to Thomas Bond around 1718, later the Pleasant Valley Estate Farm, and the stone Manor House on the property is a registered historical landmark. The course has hosted the Lower Bucks County Pro-Am, a Golf Association of Philadelphia U.S. Open qualifier and, in 2014, a Philadelphia Open qualifier. Golfweek named it the #9 course you can play in Pennsylvania in 2013.

The practice setup is a big part of its reputation. There's a full grass tee, large practice greens, a short-game area and a practice bunker, and the Golf Range Association of America put it on its Top 50 Public Range list from 2012 to 2015. The range also has Toptracer bays, where you can play a virtual Pebble Beach after your real round.

It's one of 86 courses Yoink watches in the Philadelphia area, and the closest alternative is Oxford Valley Golf Club, about 2 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.

Booking a tee time at Makefield Highlands Golf Club

Book online with a credit card linked to your account; you aren't charged until you check in. Lower Makefield Township residents get lower rates but must show ID (a driver's license or utility bill) in the shop once before the resident booking portal opens to them. On the 2026 in-season card (April 28 to November 2), 18 holes Monday to Thursday was $58 for non-residents and $43 for residents. Friday to Sunday was $88 and $73, cart included. Call 215-321-7000.
